Reseña del libro

For a long time the Spanish language was a pioneer introducing ideas to Europe by means of the translations from Arabic that were made in the school of translators in Toledo. However with the expulsion of Muslims and Jews, Spain was at the mercy of the Inquisition and therefore the heliocentric theory was hardly known, or openly condemned, among the Spanish-speaking population until the nineteenth century. Antonio Alatorre elaborates on how the heliocentric theory came to be and the obstacles it suffered in the Spanish speaking world.
