En este texto se revisa las prácticas artísticas, los cambios de perspectiva y sus implicaciones en la representación y presentación del cuerpo, con el fin de ampliar el campo de comprensión de la historia del arte en Colombia. Asimismo, analiza el problema del cuerpo en varios de los artistas más importantes de nuestro país, y se plantean las relaciones entre el cuerpo y la tradición, el erotismo, la imagen, la materialidad, los instintos y la cultura, con el fin de redimensionar la significación de la imagen y de la poética del comportamiento, y de ubicar el papel de la cultura en las prácticas artísticas que tienen por objeto el cuerpo. This text discusses artistic practices, changes in perspective and their implications on the representation and presentation of human body, in order to expand the comprehension of the history of art in Colombia. Likewise, this text analyzes the topic of human body within the work of some of the most important artists in our country, and it reviews the relationships among human body and tradition, erotism, image, materiality, instincts and culture, in order to reshape the definition of image and the poetics of behavior, and to define the role played by culture in the artistic practices that use the human body as a central topic.
