in the first part, the author offers an exhaustive study about the syntactic-functional and semantic structures with get, emphasising their frequency, polysemy and multi-functionality. the second part analyses the results obtained in the spanish translation of both corpora (literary english and english in general) and compares human versus automatic translation.
