Once upon a time, in what seems like a lifetime ago, a foolish jaunt through a recently discovered portal on our newly purchased property in Belize turned into a harrowing ten days in a city reminiscent of Victorian England. We were chased by supernatural and mythical creatures, almost killed in a drop through a suck hole that spit Max, Dogg, and I into a huge cavern. Injuries aside, the three of us managed to make it to the outside world once more. Helped by the cutest little werewolf and her grandfather, I am happy to say we made our way through miles of dense forest back to Afterburner without dying of exposure or starvation. I won't go into the issue of an insane Minotaur who kept us treading water for three hours, or the deranged serial killer. Max and I were helped in the end by a were-leopard and his vampire brother, and the creature responsible for multiple murders came to a gruesome yet fitting end. While all in our lives remained quiet we gathered our gear and stepped back through the portal to our sunny jungle home, Dogg leading the way. We were looking forward our own beds, a hot shower, and a little rest and boredom. We hadn't a clue we were deep in the crapper this time
